xiVENTURES is a highly engaged boutique venture investment fund focused on select quality technology opportunities. Our passion is investing in early-stage tech companies with target investments of $100,000 to $250,000. We are the bridge between Friends and Family and Series A investment.
Pre-revenue companies: Have proprietary technology or intellectual property that has the potential to be exploited on a global scale. The technology or lead product is usually beyond the proof of principle stage.
Revenue generating early-stage companies: Generating revenues and have a strong pipeline of technologies and products, which has been developed by research and management teams with scientific and commercial credibility.
Every start-up is unique and every entrepreneur we invest in is important to us. We understand businesses are highly contextual – we strive to understand our investments unique circumstances and will work with the entrepreneur to bring the right strategies and resources to bear. MEET OUR TEAM
MiCHAEL Durance
Michael Durance has over 25 years of experience in executive leadership and capital markets in the Technology industry. Before founding xiVENTURES Fund Inc. with the other Directors, Michael was CEO of Call Genie Inc., a local search and digital media mobile advertising platform. Prior to this he was vice president and general manager of the Digital Solutions division of Toshiba America Information Systems. As leader and visionary of several business units, he was charged with bringing together Toshiba's telecommunications, imaging, hotspots, PDA and laptop technology into bundled mobility solutions. Prior to Toshiba, Mr. Durance was corporate vice president of the Integrated Solutions Group for ADC Telecommunications, Inc., a data transmission products company. Prior to ADC, he was Asia Pacific managing director and chairman, senior vice president of Global Consulting Services, and vice president of Product Management for Saville Systems, a telecommunications software company. Other positions include numerous senior management and International positions at Nortel Networks.
Mike Hamilton
Mike is an accomplished leader and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the fields of IT consulting and talent management, as well as VC investment and mentorship in early-stage tech companies. His varied career has resulted in a breadth of expertise in all aspects of running a business, including business development, finance, operations, and resource management. An honest and open approach has been the hallmark of Mike’s professional career. Mike holds a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Toronto.
Glenn Pociluyko
Glenn helped establish xiBOSS in 2002 following an extensive career in the software/consulting world, including senior positions in software development & delivery business units in Canada, the United States, Europe and Australia. He has broad experience developing professional staff, leading teams in successful solution roll-outs around the globe, and guiding professional service offices to - and through - significant growth, in both resources and revenues. Glenn was instrumental in the founding of xiVENTURES and is currently a director.
Tony Duckett
Tony has 30+ years experience focused on leadership roles in the Telecommunications, software development and consulting industries. Extensive international experience, having lived and worked in 6 countries and 5 continents. His current focus is on scaling our Growth Services for Early Stage companies, as well as xiVENTURES Fund Inc.(Venture fund).
